Abstract | There is no specific treatment for hepatitis B which becomes common now a day. So, now a day’s safety monitoring and reporting of a drug is essential in respect to the management of the therapy. I designed my work to investigate the safety monitoring and reporting of antiviral drugs (Entecavir & adefovir) against the management of hepatitis B in siddharthnagar. As increasing demand and need of pharmacovigilance in India I tried to work in this field by collecting prescription of 40 patient with hepatitis B. The adverse event / effect data was collected from reputed physicians and analyzed graphically for evaluation of the overall safety profile of the comparative drugs namely entecavir and adefovir. Data which was collected used to explain the higher usefulness of entecavir from adefovir. So; this comparative report does indicate the better safety profile of one drug in comparison to other. |
