Abstract | Present investigation has been designed to know the impact of new technology on rural society. Nowadays it is seen that every individual even a child wants to use latest communication technology in maximum sphere of life either for entertainment, health, education, information, agricultural production or domestic, etc. For this purpose two types of respondents have been randomly selected from developed and undeveloped areas of rural setting. To know the role of achievement motivation and media on adoption of new technology standardized tests i.e. achievement motivation scale and exposure to mass-media have been applied. It is found that both factors have dominantly played a significant role in use of new technologies and transforming the life-style of rural masses. Now, not only the people of Urban society are frequently using the latest technology but rural individuals are also in the state of fervor. |
