Abstract | This study was undertaken to evaluate awareness level of secondary school teachers about human rights, who are supposed to practice them inside their classrooms. A sample of 60 teachers was selected from secondary schools of Gurgaon District, Haryana for this study. A Human Rights Awareness Test was used for data collection. This test measures the level of awareness of individuals with regard to concepts and principles of human rights as well as awareness with regard to situations involving human rights violations. The data were analyzed employing t-test. The obtained results indicated that there is no significant difference in the awareness of Secondary Government and private teachers towards human rights. It concluded that both Government and private Secondary teachers are aware about human rights. |
