Abstract | Leishmaniasis is the vector borne disease affecting many patient worlds while. The disease is caused by species of Leishmania. The major clinical forms are cutaneous, muco-cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis. There are about 21 species which caused infection in the humans and this infection is transmitted via bites of female sandflies. The clinical features will depend upon the species to species and their immune responses to the host. Who stated this disease the most neglected diseases? The present review was focused to enumerate the causative agents, epidemiology, types and treatment of the disease. |
