Abstract | The synthesis of 4-methyl-1H-isochrome-1-one 1(a-e) different type of coumarin derivatives have been performed from different type of phenol derivatives. The compound 1(a-e) were then converted to their respective compound 2(a-e) by react with benzoic acid to gave 4-(4-methyl-1-oxoisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)benzoic acid. The compound 2(a-e) on heating with piperazine hydrate to gave compound 3(a-e) Piperazine1-4-bis-[-2-aryl/alkyl-4-arylidene/alkylidene-5-oxo-imidazolyl]-1-phenyl-4carboxylates.The new compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial activity. |
