Abstract | Algebra is a vital branch in school mathematics education. Algebra is the language for investigating and communicating in various parts of mathematics. Algebra can be recognized as summed up arithmetic and can be reached out to the investigation of function and different connections between variables. The researchers emphasized the comprehension application of the idea of algebra to translate, analyze. There are as yet numerous problems arising in the mastery of algebraic topics such as basic concepts, patterns and applications concept. In this paper the researchers review writing in connection to the students' challenges regarding their algebra learning to comprehend the troubles of students in acquiring algebraic concept. Many researchers have expressed their views to create an atmosphere of teaching and learning, problem solving abilities, more effective algebra. In general, their views can be arranged into three key approaches generalization, modeling and functionality. Fundamental concepts of algebra, idea of patterns, learning difficulties are main barriers faced by school students in acquiring algebraic concepts. |
