Amongst world’s two strong economies, the US and China a trade war has been approaching which could result in intractable outcomes of immeasurable extent. This war among economies will lead to key changes in the goods and services slumped across borders. Eventually, this economic war would upset most of the countries and the world particularly the market of manufacturing employment and GDP, but also profit their trade and welfare across countries in other way. Therefore, the paper aims to explore and provide an overview on the imbalance and resultant trade tensions that exist between US and China. The current review investigates the various literatures available and their findings to understand the existing US-China trade competition and the inferences that the globe would experience. The study concludes that the global trade that was experienced at present was full of imperfection and fetched forth economic displacements, loss in environment and generated skewed distributions of gains from the trade with protection not acting as a good standby.
