Abstract | Amongst the three major types of Primary Headache Disorders namely ‘Tension type Headache’, ‘Migraine’ & ‘Cluster Headache’. Migraine is the most disabling type of neurobiological ailment prevalent worldwide and affects majority of the population. It is characterized by severe unilateral throbbing pain in head or sometimes even an attack accompanied with aura. Migraine affects female population (75%) more than the male population (25%) due to more hormonal variations occurring in females. It is the kind of disease which not only affects the physical wellness but also hinders the patient’s quality of life by adversely affecting the personal as well as professional performance of the patient. In this review all the aspects related to Migraine are covered which include its etiology, effects, diagnosis, prevention and cure. The document also contains the reasons of trigger of migraine. |
