| Abstract | Olanzapine and Fluoxetine are used as antipsychotic⁵ which are available in tablet dosage form in ratio of 1:4 . Three simple and accurate procedures are applicable for simultaneous estimation of Olanzopine and Fluoxetine in tablet formulation have been developed. In this two method previously described that is absorption ratio method and absorption correction method. Third method employed is simultaneous equation method (Vierodt΄s method).In this method wavelength selected was 271nm as λmax of Olanzapine and 227 nm as λmax of Fluoxetine. Beer- Lambert’s law is obeyed in the concentration rang 1-10μg ml⁻¹ for Olanzapine and 4-40 μg ml⁻¹ for Fluoxetine. Statistical and recovery studies have validated the results of analysis. |
