Abstract

In this era of device miniaturization millions of transistors and other similar components can be placed onto a small surface area. This enables the manufacturers in achieving the higher density within the limited area. Self-assembling technology focuses on two design aspects i.e. miniaturization of device components and their interconnection at nanoscale without soldering. In self-assembling integrated technology, interconnections are built-up in manufacturing process itself directly. A material that can form the fineline chip structures itself has been developed. This method, which is known as directed self assembly (DSA), uses plastics (polymers) with a varied range of special properties. When two of these “block copolymers” are mixed in equal amounts, they form a structure made of narrow lamellae. In this paper, we have reviewed self-assembling integrated circuit technology with finer blue light as a tool used for finer structures.
