Abstract | The aim of my research was to screen qualitative phytochemical analysis and antibacterial activities of different solvent extracts of the Ganoderma sinense nine different bacterial strains were used Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Pseudomonas syringae, Xanthomonas campestris, Streptomyces pneumoniae, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeuroginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus by agar well diffusion method. Phytochemical screening of the extracts revealed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, tannins, phenolic compounds, glycosides and triterpenoids in the mushroom investigated. The mushroom extracts were found to be more effective in chloroform extract than petroleum ether and methanol. The bioassay has indicated that the inhibition effect of the extracts was proportional to the concentration. Phytochemical investigation results showed that the highest antibacterial potential of Ganoderma sinense may be attributed to flavonoids, phenolic compounds and triterpenoids. |
